Unified Portfolio Management.

The Agile Platform 7.0 introduces LifeTime™, a new component that will change the way IT teams manage their application portfolios and staging processes.

With LifeTime you have full visibility of all applications across all environments in your infrastructure. You can see the exact version of each application running in your Development, Quality Assurance, or Production environments.

LifeTime also gives you an instant snapshot of any application inconsistencies between environments, and allows you to drill down and identify the exact details you need to correct.

Simplified Staging Across Environments.

LifeTime takes staging to a whole new level. You can now execute and oversee the fully automated deployment of multiple applications across environments from a single centralized location.

When you define the set of applications you wish to deploy, LifeTime automatically performs an impact analysis to identify if there are conflicts in the target environment. LifeTime then guides you through the entire process of ensuring that all applications are running perfectly, by the time your deployment is finished. When all is verified and ready, simply click a button and see magic happening. In a matter of minutes, all applications you selected will be staged between environments: fast, safe and with zero downtime.

The Agile Platform 7.0 takes staging to a whole new level, making the DevOps principles a reality!

Collaboration & Security

Security is a top concern for Enterprise IT. The Agile Platform 7.0 gives you full flexibility to define and manage your team's access control rules across all environments and applications from a single centralized location.

Start by defining the roles you manage in your IT (like developers and operations) and configure the privileges they will have to create, change, access, or reference applications. You can then assign your IT users to those roles, in order to make sure security policies are enforced. Additionally, you can refine your security settings for each user, granting or revoking access to specific applications.

Agile Platform - Roles
multi-tenancy

True Multi-Tenancy

With the Agile Platform 7.0 building and deploying multi-tenant applications that you can use to reach multiple customers is just a click away.

Whether you’re delivering a cloud-ready SaaS application, or you want to publicly expose applications and services to your organization’s business partners or customers, multi-tenancy is a key capability to ensure highly cost effective, secure and fast results.

Platform enforced tenant segmentation offers a consistent security policy, independent of actual developers and custom solution implementations, providing you with data, users, and processes isolation that you can trust.

All this with virtually no development effort and with the high productivity you’re used to with the Agile Platform.

Java Stack Alignment.

In future versions of the Agile Platform, we will continue to review and adapt the platform to support the latest version of the underlying stacks, to allow you to take full advantage of the latest application servers or database capabilities, without having to change your applications.

Extensibility APIs

Version 7.0 includes a new set of extensibility APIs that enhance the Agile Platform’s ability to seamlessly fit with the tools and processes that you currently use in your Enterprise IT. For example, you’re now able to choose an external database connection at runtime, a common requirement for integration scenarios, in which you have different databases with the same schema but for different companies, countries, departments, etc.

SQL Server Integrated Authentication

Organizations running Microsoft Windows typically use Active Directory to control accesses to the databases. This gives IT a single place to manage users and security settings and simplifies the management, control, and policy changes across the entire software landscape. The Agile Platform 7.0 now supports using Integrated Authentication to connect to the SQL Server Database, enhancing compliance with Microsoft tools and best practices. integrated-db-authentication

Oracle Unicode Support

The Agile Platform now supports Unicode in Oracle, both for the platform’s database and for integrations with external databases.

This capability was already supported with SQL Server in previous versions of the platform, and it has now been extended to Oracle databases.

You can now store data for non-western languages and build applications that target users in every part of the world, no matter what their language is.
