You start by providing us with a description of your project and its main functionalities. If you already have an RFP or requirements document, that is even better since it will have more detailed information we can work with. Privacy is very important to us, so if you require an NDA, just let us know. We’ll then start our analysis from all the information you have sent us.

Our sizing specialists will review the information you provide and will start building an estimate using our scoping and estimating workbench. This workbench is based on the experience OutSystems has gained from delivering over 800 Agile Projects.

Because your business is unique, our sizing specialists will get in contact with you to learn the full scope of the project. During this conversation we’ll get a chance to dig into your business needs, and to apply the experience we’ve gathered in projects done for more than 22 industries to your particular scenario.

While talking with you, we also determine what are the most important capabilities for your enterprise application. These are the features that bring you the highest ROI and that are most critical to your users. We do this to make sure that we will deliver the most important capabilities as soon as possible in the project.

With all the information gathered, OutSystems will give you a complete project estimate for the discussed application. The estimate includes a detailed description of all the functionality, a timeline for the project, a list of all milestones, and the effort, time and cost to deliver the project.

Once the estimate is approved, OutSystems implements the project in an iterative way. This means that every 2 to 3 weeks we do a checkpoint with you and we demo the part of your application we developed during that time. This gives you total control over the development of your application, allowing you to make sure that your project is heading in the right direction, and enabling you to make adjustments if they are needed.

These project checkpoints are also the way we cope with business changes. While projects are being developed, business priorities might change, or whole new requirements may show up. 

If implementing these changes brings more value to the business than the features initially planned, there is no reason you should have to wait until the end of the project. You can adjust the project as you go.

Once the project is done, we deliver an IT friendly enterprise application. Our applications are built on top of the Agile Platform, and are completely instrumented so that IT can monitor their health, their performance, and all audits related to operations and security.

After the project is in production, you’ll still be able to evolve your application along with the business. We know that the business never stops and that enterprise applications need to keep up. That’s why we build applications that can be maintained and changed easily, either by us or by your own internal IT.
