Tip: Using your GMAIL account to send emails from the Community Edition

Hi,

I would like to leave a tip on how to configuration the OutSystems email dispatcher in order to use your gmail account.

To do this configuration, do the following:
  1. Login to servicecenter with administrator permissions;
  2. Open the tab ADMINISTRATOR / Email and set the following data:
    • SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
    • SMTP Port: 587
    • Username: <your_gmail_address@gmail.com>
    • Password: <your gmail password>
    • Default Sender Email: <your_gmail_address@gmail.com>
    • Default Sender Name: <Your Name>
  3. Open the tab ADMINISTATOR / Server Configuration and make sure the DNS Name is correctly filled in (normally  localhost)
