Create Entities directly from an Excel file. Simply select the Entities from Excel... option in the Import menu and then the Excel file. The following occurs:
Entities are created from the sheets found in the Excel file;
Entities attributes are created from the column headers specified in the first row of each sheet;
In the sheet, the data rows are loaded into entity records .
The Excel sheet must have a specific format and follow the rules described here.
The column headers in the first row must have the name of the entity attributes and it must start in cell A1;
The following rows must have the data to be loaded into entity records: one record for each row.
An entity is created for each sheet in the Excel file that is according to the format described in the previous section, and the following is done:
The name of the entity is the name of the sheet;
The entity attributes are created from the column headers, and their types are inferred from the data in the columns;
The data rows are loaded into records that are inserted in the database when the entity is created with the 1-Click Publish .
