Build SMS Dialogs
An iSMS flow is an exchange of messages between the end-user and the eSpace.
In Service Studio, you have the Send Message and the Start iSMS elements and their specific editor to build the message, just by dragging & dropping the available elements.
When you associate a command with the Send Message element, the icon in the SMS flow is changed to:
You can add the following elements to SMS Screens (Wait Message, Send Message or Start iSMS):
Input parameters: used to send data between SMS messages. How?
Local variables: used when you have to create variables whose scope is the SMS message itself. How?
Screen preparation: used to execute an action before processing the SMS message. How?
Screen actions: used when you want to design actions that are only available inside the SMS message. How?
These operations are available in the Screen Menu, in the Menu bar when the Send Message is selected in the Flow canvas, or by right-clicking the Send Message in the eSpace tree.
The Send Message request is issued asynchronously, the message is queued to the SMS Gateway and afterwards sent to the operator SMS as soon as possible.
