Service Studio 5.1 Help
Connect to Server
You must connect to a server when you want to complete the eSpace life cycle in Service Studio, or when you want to test a query or add/remove references to your eSpace.
Connecting to a Server
You can explicitly connect to a server or let Service Studio prompt you to connect whenever you must be connected but you are not; e.g. if you are uploading the eSpace. In both situations the Select server window is displayed.

When you explicitly connect to a server, Service Studio checks whether there is a more recent version of the eSpace you are currently editing in the server you are connecting to. See how the conflict is detected between the local file (the one you are currently using) and the remote file (the one that was uploaded to the server you are connected to).
Connection Information
Once you are connected to a server, Service Studio presents you with information about the connection:
Title bar of Service Studio: This contains the name of the Platform Server you are connected to; for example: MyOml@PlatformServer
Status bar: This contains the name of the Platform Server you are connected to and the name of the user that made the connection.
