A widget is a component that you can use when designing the user interface. Widgets enable developers to perform a certain function, like editing a record, or displaying a table.

The following widgets are available:

Container

Groups widgets and applies styles to them.

Placeholder

A placeholder for screen content.

Only available when editing a Web Block.

Table

Organizes contents in a table.

Expression

Displays calculated values.

Displays a reusable screen part.

 Form

Allows to edit a single record.

 Edit Record

Allows to edit a single record in a tabular layout.

Show Record

Displays a single record in a tabular layout.

Table Records

Displays multiple records in a tabular layout.

Editable Table

Allows to edit and create multiple records in a tabular layout.

List Records

Displays multiple records in a list layout.

Label

The label to be displayed next to an input field.

Input

A text input field.

Input Password

A text input field that masks its content.

Check Box

A field that can be checked or unchecked.

Radio Button

An option for a multiple choice.

Combo Box

A drop-down list to select a value from a list.

List Box

A drop-down list to select one or more values from a list.

Upload

Allows to upload a file.

Button

A button to trigger an action.

Link

A link to navigate to another screen.

Image

Displays an image.

Comment

Add comments and reminders to your screen.

Text

Displays a text.

Although it doesn't appear in the Toolbox, it is considered a widget.

Adding a Widget to the Screen

To add a widget to your screen, drag it from the toolbox to the canvas where you want to display it.

The only exception to this is the Text widget. You can add text simply by clicking on the screen and typing.
