OutSystems Platform allows you to easily generate a screen to create and edit records from the database. For this, just drag a Detail Screen to a screen flow.

How to Create a Detail Screen

To create a screen that allows creating and editing employees:

  1. Drag a Detail Screen into a screen flow;
  2. Choose the 'Employee' entity from the list.

If you've already got a list screen, you can right-click an expression and choose Link to New Detail Web Screen.

What’s Created

A new screen is created, with a header, menu, footer, and a form to create new records or edit existing ones. The server-side logic to create and edit records is also created for you.

If you already had a screen to list Employees, that screen is changed to include links to the detail screen.
