Although optional, only named widgets are available in the scope of the screen or web block. Only then can you use their runtime properties.

If the browser supports images, then this Text is used as a tool tip. When images are not supported, this text is displayed instead.

Image

The semantics of this property depend on the type of the image:

  • Static: contains the filename associated with the widget. This content is displayed at development time and run time.

  • External or Database: contains the filename of the image used during development time. At run time, this property is ignored.

Type of image: Static, External, or Database.

URL

The URL where the External image can be found. You can type the URL directly or use the Expression editor.

Available and mandatory for External images.

Filename

Provides the browser with both the filename and extension of the image. The extension is especially important since it informs the browser of the (MIME) kind of the image. This is why you must use a suitable extension in order to avoid misunderstanding in the browser processing.

Available and mandatory for Database images.

Cache

Indicates the maximum duration that the Database image can stay in Cache. The possible values are:

  • No Cache: each time you want to access the image, Platform Server accesses its database.

  • 1 Hour: the image is cached for one hour, maximum.

  • 1 Day: the image is cached for one day, maximum.

  • 1 Week: the image is cached for one week, maximum.

Available and mandatory for Database images.

Note, however, that Platform Server does not directly control the resources of the Cache. Therefore, in some situations, the image can be cached for less time.

Attribute

Entity Attribute that contains the Image. The type must be Binary Data, otherwise an error is presented and the eSpace is not valid.

Entity Identifier

The entity identifier of the image that you want to display. The type must be Entity Identifier, otherwise an error is presented and the eSpace is not valid.

You can type the value directly or use the Expression editor.

Width

Indicates the width of the widget. You can change the width by editing this property.

If the unit is not specified, Service Studio uses pixels. If necessary, you can use another unit like, for example, % and in this situation the value must be within quotes: "12%".

The value of this property can be in pixels, points, or percentage.

Height

Indicates the height of the image when presented in your web screen.

If the unit is not specified, Service Studio uses pixels. If necessary, you can use another unit like, for example, % and in this situation the value must be within quotes: "12%".

Margin Left

Indicates the width of the left margin of the widget.

This value can be automatically set by the Grid.

Auto

The value of this property can be in pixels, points, or percentage.

If not defined and the widget style defines a margin-left then this margin is applied to the widget.

Margin Top

Indicates the height of the top margin of the widget.

This value can be automatically set by the Grid.

Optional

Auto

The value of this property can be in pixels or points.

If Auto is selected and the widget style defines a margin-top then this margin is applied to the widget.

Style

Drop-down list with the styles that can be applied to the image.
