Currently, OutSystems developers cloud (ODC) is only available as paid service but it would be great if it is made available to the general developer community as well to experience and explore it.

1. We may be able to suggest some additional ideas and improvements needed for the portal.

2. Will make us gain practical experience in it. Which can also help us plan to include it in upcoming projects.

Merged this idea with 'ODC Personal Environment' (created on 07 Jan 2024 20:00:51 by Lucas Soares)

Just as we have a personal environment 11 to study, create components, demonstrate OutSystems to potential customers, it would be interesting if we also had a personal environment in ODC.

After all, ODC is the future of OutSystems development, and I want to be there.

Hug,

Lucas Soares

Agree! It's a desire I've had for a long time.

Cheers

I'm on board with the idea of having a personal environment in ODC . It's crucial for studying, creating components, and showcasing to potential customers, especially considering ODC's role in the future of OutSystems development.

regards,

Just a note on Reemali's comment: personal environment is not to showcase to clients It is to test the platform and build forge components. To show Sales Partners have dedicated servers.

Finally, when you are showing OS, it is irrelevant if it is 11 or ODC. The client won't see the difference on the browser.

Hi Lucas,

There's currently no timeline for ODC PEs, so don't hold your breath :). But it's bound to happen in the future, as ODC gets more feature complete and is pushed more to clients.

ODC enivorment for developer for handson and exploring.

1.I have completed ODC traiing but now I am unable to explore it due to limited access to the enivorment on personal account.

2.My company also doesnt have ODC.

3.Unable to explore ODC forum section also.

@Amreen Shaikh why are you unable to see ODC forum posts? It is available to every OutSystems community member.

@Daniel Kuhlmann : I mean to say as I am not able to have access to ODC ,Obviously will not able to reply the ODC forum questions. Even if I am for Trained for ODC will forgot what i have done in some time. My resume says I am certified ODC. What if questions being asked in interviews. I hope you are undersatanding my point of view.

Regards,

Amreen

Yes only limited (10 Days) access is provided for ODC Studio and ODC Portal .So not able to explore more.

I renewed 10-day trial access of ODC once, but the environment changed which makes long personal experiments infeasible. It is better to have ODC personal environment similar to O11. If running cost for those access is a concern, inactive project removal for a certain period such as 1 week can be introduced.
