So it is filtering by text and it filters for everything. It is not filtering by country or city. Below you can see and example of that. I wrote Berlin in the search box and got some results that are not located in Berlin but their name has Berlin in it. So i guess this is still a valid idea.

yes off course it is just a text search, and it is still a possible improvement on the filtering.

Personally I think if they put any effort into improving filtering, I would rather see the budget go to filtering on how alive an account still is (like logged in no longer than xx days ago) or on what certifications someone has, ...

But then again, that's easy for me to say, not many members will have 'Belgium' or 'Netherlands' in their name ;-)

I do understand your point of view but I also know from experience that building some simple filters to filter by country, city and few other data is not really that difficult. But again I am sure this is not a priority at the moment. I do believe that this idea section is also to suggest improvements for the future. 

Filtering by company would also be cool to have.
