I think this idea is related to Native Vector Data Type And Server-Side Similarity Search for ODC, but not really duplicating it. But it could be the technical enabler as it focuses on the underlying database capabilities. Given the overlap in the problem space, it may be worth reviewing them together.

In my opinion both ideas make sense independently, as this idea would also bring value on its own for other use cases.
