On ODC we have a system function that pulls the App Name:

It would be a good addition if we also had other App information easily available, for instance the revision/tag like GetAppRevision() or GetAppTag().

Currently the only way to get this information is to use ODC REST APIs which would need at least 2 API calls (one for token and one for the deployed asset) and all the overhead that it brings (maintaining API credentials, settings permissions, etc).
