Role Purpose:

Our client, a leading insurance organisation requires a Digital Project Manager for their Crawley office. This Project Manager will be instrumental in the creation of Digital solutions within this leading financial services organisation, and will involve developing strategy with other european Digital teams. The role will involve managing the integration project life - cycle from start up, and will be central to the delivery of a large portfolio of business change for all lines of business

The main purpose of the role is ensure that the various IT deliver to the committed demand, this requires a deep technical integration technology understanding such as API operations as well as web and database technology

  • Work closely with the Program manager and the PMs to provide the management support and over sight for great delivery
  • Assess costs and risks, plus Identify and respond to risks and high-priority issues rapidly and effectively through effective action and appropriate escalation
  • Capture and proactively manage the IT issues and actions raised relating to the rollout of the products
  • Track and report on project portfolio performance, providing a real-time, comprehensive, and prioritized view of the project
  • Create and manage against plans that dovetail into the overall program plan
  • Provide senior management status reporting
  • Work with stakeholders from the GDC to identify resources needed, assemble project teams, and assign responsibilities.
  • Act as a reference point for the system integration work stream

Required qualifications:

  • Extensive PM experience managing IT projects (finance/insurance preferable)
  • Experience working with vendors
  • Cloud based application integration with on premises implementations
  • Cross group collaboration with a decided lean towards to driving issues to successful conclusions
  • Support development of best practices and initiatives, coordinating with design, construction management, network implementation, and operations
  • Coordinate change management between multiple teams to meet a deadline.
  • Assure rapid responses to high priority builds and break-fixes.
  • Identify and respond to risks and high-priority issues rapidly and effectively through effective action and appropriate escalation.
  • In depth knowledge of the software development life cycle
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Lean/Kanban principles and techniques
  • Experience on Rapid Application Development software or BPM development such as OpenText, Metastorm, Pega PRPC, Salesforce, OutSystems, or Microsoft Azure
  • Relevant technical or business Bachelor Degree or higher is preferred, but not absolutely required
  • Experienced user of MS Project and MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • PRINCE2/ PMP Practitioner
  • Strong experience of web services integration and architecture with many integration points
  • JIRA
