Role description

The Senior Consultant will be part of the Risk Analytics Investment Management team and will be tasked to build and deliver advanced data and analytics solutions and services to asset and wealth managers and hedge funds. This person needs to have strong experience and exposure in this sector and will be expected to utilise this knowledge to further enhance or develop analytics solutions. The Risk Analytics Investment Management team is one of the fastest growing analytics businesses, with an annual growth rate of over 15%. It comprises of a mix of business and technical professionals and operates both in the UK and internationally, mainly in EMEA.



The Senior Consultant will have responsibility for:

  • Developing and delivering advanced analytics solutions to a number of Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts, acting as the lead technical analytics advisor·     
  • Leading or participating in project delivery of such solutions or services
  • Bringing technical and practical insight in to how clients might use data more effectively to manage risk across their business, both as part of specific projects and as added value to the services we currently provide
  • Working across the Firm’s network to develop new insights and offerings based on challenges our clients face and emerging areas of focus
  • Developing with the people around you to further strengthen a network of specialists the firm can draw from to support clients in their data and analytics challenges
  • Having a broader perspective and a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture



To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Operated in Investment Management, ideally (although not mandatory) in a data or analytics capacity
  • Experience of using advanced analytics tools and platforms as per below:
  • Data management tools (e.g. SQL, Informatica, OutSystems)
  • Visualisation tools (e.g. Qlikview, Qliksense, Tableau)
  • Data science tools (e.g. R, Python, Alteryx, SAS, SPSS)
  • Big data tools (e.g. Hadoop, Spark)
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and in different and challenging environments
  • Strong planning, organisation and delivery skills
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, business writing and professional skills, including being able to liaise with both technical and business contacts at our clients
  • The ability to determine client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches
