The Business Analyst supports the Program Manager in the design or enhancement of reports, databases and business systems. The Analyst interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand, document, and analyze business needs and requirementsResponsibilities also include fulfillment of data and report requests, providing end user support, investigating and resolving application, transactional and data-related issues of Precision and other associated applications.  The Analyst must demonstrate attention to detail, organization, analytical orientation, and possess the initiative to work in an independent and reliable manner. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Design, develop and maintain various custom reports and data integrity queries using an appropriate combination of Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, T-SQL, Excel, SharePoint, and OutSystems
  • Troubleshoot existing reporting solutions when users report problems in content or general behavior
  • Assist in identifying critical data points that should be monitored
  • Review output of data integrity queries to identify missing or incorrect data and work with the responsible parties to correct the data
  • Track and Monitor specific phases of projects to ensure timely progress and completion
  • Participate in thorough testing and validation efforts for deliverables such as reports, data lists, applications, and system upgrades, ensuring timely and accurate results in a team environment
  • Maintain and update Precision configuration to meet departmental needs, including but not limited to:
    • Action Items
    • Checklists
    • Listviews
    • Timelines
    • Workbook Uploads
    • Picklists
  • Maintain and update user access and security
  • Works with users and subject matter experts to gather and document business requirements, and clearly communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Designs, creates and maintains application and business process related documentation
  • Provide appropriate service, support, training, and advice to end users regarding the capabilities and functions of the software products
  • Work with members of the IT department as needed for integration of other applications with Precision
  • Act as liaison with software vendor to publish custom reports to the production environment
  • Provides estimates for tasks as requested, such that work can be prioritized and properly assigned
  • Detail oriented, able to fully develop solutions with attention to detail and quality that minimizes the amount of testing and defect resolution involved
  • Other duties and tasks assigned

 

?Qualifications Required:

  • Undergraduate degree in a business or related field (i.e. Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Business)
  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis and report writing
  • Preferred knowledge of multifamily and/or commercial real estate finance.  Familiarity with the Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae and HUD a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL and SSRS, T-SQL preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Proven history of utilizing Microsoft Excel to import, export, query and report on data
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technology
  • Ability to work independently, unsupervised, and as a team player
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Strong time management skill and ability to operate under demanding deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to audit own work
  • Strong aptitude for diagnosing end user problems, identifying and implementing solutions
  • Propensity for strong, internal customer service delivery and a proactive approach to user efficiency
  • Ability to effectively communicate with users of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
  • Ability to travel as needed
