Automation Test Lead / Automated Test Lead. Circa £50k + Bonus + Benefits Package. South Birmingham. T6/MN/ 17146

Large professional organisation is seeking to secure an experienced Automated Test Lead.

The role will sit within a large IT team. The organisation provides a supportive and collaborative working environment.

Purpose of the Role:

The Automated Test Lead will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of an automated test framework across the IT systems. Key focus on analysis, design and execution of test scenarios, ensuring the proposed solution meets the business needs/requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·Designing, developing and supporting frameworks for the test infrastructure - delivering and providing automation expertise to the development teams

·Aiding in predictable delivery of quality releases

·Research, recommend and implement tools to aid with increasing automation

·Document and maintain a robust log of all test cases and test results

·Analysing and designing test scenarios

  • Consistently develop high quality software to committed dates
  • Agile - work closely with the Agile team to develop an agreed acceptance criteria
  • Contribute to SAFe Agile ceremonies, PI Planning, Backlog refinement, Sprint Demo and Retrospectives.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of testing standards
  • Quickly identify issues or problems which may jeopardise or impede project deadlines - propose to resolve or escalate the issues to the Delivery Manager

·Mentor junior and less experienced team members on automation

Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrable Automated Testing experience utilising tools such as - Cucumber, Selenium, or Microsoft Test Manager
  • Experience of performing analysis and designing for projects - including impact analysis on existing systems for any proposed solutions
  • Ability to effectively prioritise your work schedule and projects
  • Able to work under pressure and to deliver quality solutions
  • Excellent analytic and problem solving skills
  • Able to provide technical leadership
  • Excellent customer focus
  • Collaborative approach to team working
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

Desirable Skills:

  • SQL, OutSystems, Sharepoint,

Working Hours - 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch). Flexible working provided.
