Mid Level Software Developer (.NET)

CBTS is in search of a Mid-Level Software Developer for a benefited position in the Cincinnati area. As a member of the IT team the Software Developer will be an essential team member in the design, development, implementation, and on-going support of software projects and platforms. The position will be comprised of development tasks and providing design recommendations for current and future applications. The Developer must be able to act as an outstanding member in a team of software developers as well as develop, review code, and manage releases.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Writes, translates, codes, and unit tests software programs and applications according to specifications
  • Design technical solutions in response to customer requests or changes in the business
  • Ensure effective integration of software across products, platforms and environments
  • Participates in all phases of the SDLC to ensure and verify the design meets defined business requirements
  • Participates as a member of an Agile Team and works collaboratively with business process leads, developers, business analyst, and other members of the business
  • Prepare accurate and detailed requirement specifications documents, work flow analysis, and functional specification documents
  • Writes automated test scripts, tests software and works with Business Analyst to correct software bugs
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines

 

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline preferred
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Excellent programming skills in .NET or other object-oriented language
  • Knowledge of C#, SQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, or Git
  • Proficient in REST API and API best practices
  • Experience with SharePoint development, AWS, Azure, Oracle, and OutSystems is a plus
  • Interface design experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated understanding of Agile Software Development Lifecycle models
