About The Role

As an OutSystems Architect, you will make an impact by designing scalable, secure, and high‑performance low‑code applications that enable business transformation across the organization. You will be a valued member of the Digital Engineering team, collaborating closely with developers, architects, and cross‑functional stakeholders to define technical strategy, guide solution design, and ensure successful delivery across the full development lifecycle.

In This Role, You Will

• Lead the design and architecture of enterprise‑grade, modular OutSystems applications, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance.
• Define technical, integration, and data strategies while overseeing the full development lifecycle and adherence to best practices.
• Design, configure, and maintain OutSystems environments—development, staging, and production—using LifeTime and Service Center.
• Implement robust integration strategies with external systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SQL) using REST, SOAP, and custom connectors.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize database queries, and ensure applications meet required security and scalability standards.
• Enforce code quality, conduct code reviews, and mentor development teams on OutSystems and modern web/mobile development best practices.

What You Need To Have To Be Considered

•  Strong experience designing and delivering solutions on the OutSystems low‑code platform.
•  Proficiency with Service Studio, Integration Studio, and core OutSystems platform capabilities.
•  Solid understanding of SQL, .NET/C#, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
•  Experience designing enterprise‑level application architectures and integration approaches.
•  Ability to configure, deploy, and maintain OutSystems environments using LifeTime and Service Center.
•  Hands‑on experience optimizing performance, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring secure and scalable solutions.

These will help you stand out

•  Experience mentoring and guiding development teams in an architect or lead capacity.
•  Background integrating OutSystems with ERP and enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or SQL-based systems.
•  Strong understanding of security, scalability, and maintainability principles for low‑code solutions.
•  Familiarity with best practices for code quality, modern development standards, and DevOps tooling for OutSystems.

Salary And Other Compensation Applications will be accepted until March 21, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $112,500- $132,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
