Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced OutSystems Architect to lead the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise-grade low-code applications using OutSystems. The role involves close collaboration with business and technology teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions integrated with Amazon Web Services and enterprise systems.

The architect will define technical standards, guide development teams, ensure compliance and performance, and drive delivery excellence through strong documentation and knowledge transfer.

Key Responsibilities Architecture & Delivery

• Design and implement scalable, modular OutSystems applications using Reactive Web, Mobile, and ODC. 
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and performance standards. 
• Drive solution design reviews and architecture governance. 
• Integrate OutSystems applications with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) and enterprise platforms. 
• Design and implement REST/SOAP APIs and microservices for reliable data exchange and orchestration 
• Ensure secure authentication, authorization, and connectivity across systems. 
• Lead CI/CD pipeline implementation for OutSystems applications 
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation 
• Support automated builds, deployments, and environment management.

Technical Leadership

• Mentor and guide OutSystems developers. 
• Conduct code reviews, architecture reviews, and performance tuning. 
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive resolution. 
• Produce architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications. 
• Lead knowledge transfer (KT) sessions for support and operations teams.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in OutSystems architecture, development, and deployment. 
• Proven experience delivering Reactive Web and Mobile applications. 
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud architecture, including networking, security, and cost optimization. 
• Strong experience with REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration patterns. 
• Practical experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC (Terraform / CloudFormation). 
• Solid understanding of secure coding practices, IAM, and compliance in hybrid environments. 
• Strong solution architecture skills with a focus on scalability and reusability. 
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. 
• OutSystems Certifications: O11 and ODC (mandatory).

Nice To Have (Preferred)

• Experience modernizing legacy platforms into OutSystems low-code solutions. 
• Performance engineering experience for high-throughput OutSystems applications on AWS. 
• Familiarity with enterprise security frameworks and regulated environments (finance, government).
