OutSystems Developers (Project, Hybrid)
The OutSystems Developer (Project-Based) is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable and high-performing applications using the OutSystems platform. This role involves translating business and technical requirements into efficient and reusable software solutions while ensuring compliance with development standards and best practices. The developer collaborates closely with Lead Developers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable applications that support business operations and digital transformation initiatives.
The role also includes providing production support, troubleshooting application issues, conducting unit and integration testing, preparing technical documentation, and contributing to continuous system improvement. In addition, the OutSystems Developer provides technical guidance to junior team members and assists in ensuring applications are optimized, maintainable, and delivered within project timelines.
This is a project-based engagement for an initial period of six (6) months, with a strong possibility of renewal based on project needs and performance. The role follows a hybrid work arrangement, with four (4) days on-site and one (1) day work from home, Monday to Friday, at the client site in MOA, Pasay City.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business and program specifications into efficient, scalable, and reusable software code for new systems and enhancements to existing applications.
- Assist the Lead Developer in the technical design, architecture, and writing of program specifications and application solutions.
- Design and develop effective solutions using the OutSystems platform while ensuring optimal use of resources and adherence to development standards.
- Understand and apply current infrastructure, technology stack, and best practices to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Ensure all developed programs are optimized, maintainable, and delivered within agreed timelines and business requirements.
- Provide technical support for production systems and applications, ensuring issues are resolved promptly with minimal operational disruption.
- Prepare and execute test scenarios, unit testing, and integration testing; review and evaluate results, and resolve identified defects or bugs.
- Prepare and maintain system documentation, technical documentation, and operating procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Junior Developers in resolving technical issues and implementing best practices.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to continuously improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Lead Developer or management from time to time.
Hiring Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in OutSystems development, systems analysis, and application design.
- Proficient in OutSystems low-code platform, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and AWS Cloud.
- Working knowledge of SQL and databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to create clear technical and system documentation.
- Capable of working independently and providing technical guidance when needed.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Willing to start immediately.
