Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site OutSystems Developer role based in Colombia. The OutSystems Developer will design, develop, and maintain web and mobile applications using the OutSystems low-code platform in alignment with business and technical requirements. Responsibilities include translating user stories into scalable application modules, integrating applications with APIs and enterprise systems, and ensuring performance, security, and maintainability. The role involves collaborating closely with product owners, business analysts, UX designers, and QA engineers, participating in code reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement of development standards and practices. The developer will also troubleshoot issues, provide production support, and help optimize existing OutSystems applications as part of ongoing digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with the OutSystems platform, including developing reactive web and mobile apps, creating reusable components, and managing deployments.
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals such as object-oriented concepts, design patterns, integration architectures, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL), data modeling, and query optimization.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and basic UX/UI principles for building user-friendly interfaces.
• Comfort working in Agile environments, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to analyze requirements, document technical solutions, and produce clear, maintainable code and application logic.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish to coordinate with local and global stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• OutSystems certifications (e.g., Associate or Professional Developer) and prior experience in enterprise or large-scale application projects are highly beneficial.
