The OutSystems Developer will enhance and maintain an existing banking application by integrating new backend services and microservices. The role focuses on extending the current architecture—business logic, workflows, and validation rules—while preserving system stability, data integrity, and seamless alignment with existing banking processes. Working within established OutSystems applications, the developer will deliver integrations, APIs, operational visibility features, and reliable workflow/notification capabilities without unnecessarily rebuilding or disrupting existing functionality.
Responsibilities
- Enhance and maintain existing OutSystems banking applications by integrating new backend services and microservices while preserving existing business logic, functionality, and system stability.
- Design, develop, and expose APIs and system integrations to synchronize banking data accurately and timely between the OutSystems application, database, and backend services.
- Enhance operational dashboards and user-facing features to provide accurate and timely visibility of banking transactions, processes, and operational data received through integrated APIs.
- Develop and maintain notification, approval, and workflow processes, ensuring business rules, authorization controls, and audit requirements are consistently applied.
- Extend existing validation and business rules to support new banking requirements while maintaining data integrity, security, and compatibility with established application processes.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and perform impact analysis on existing OutSystems modules, integrations, and database components to minimize disruptions to critical banking operations.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in OutSystems development.
- Strong experience developing Reactive Web Applications using OutSystems Service Studio.
- Experience with OutSystems API and integration capabilities, including connecting applications with backend services and microservices.
- Strong understanding of the OutSystems database layer and data synchronization.
- Experience working with and enhancing existing application logic, workflows, business rules, and validation mechanisms.
- Ability to assess the impact of application changes and implement enhancements without disrupting existing functionality.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to data integrity, system reliability, and application stability.
- Experience in banking or financial services applications is an advantage.
