This position is responsible for implementing user interfaces and adding interactive elements to applications that will engage the user. Requires a close working relationship with developers, product and application stakeholders to ensure technical and functional requirements are met. Candidate should be highly experienced and well-versed in the technology and tools used for digital experiences.





  • Deeply understand what drives the business for which you are building software. 
  • Build solutions that operate on large amounts of data in high transaction volume applications.
  • Assist in the design and development of a software release management process for enterprise applications.
  • Support and extend a culture of innovation.



  • Design web applications, mobile apps, & data objects based on user stories.
  • Develop code iteratively including functional and unit testing.
  • Work with team to improve delivery processes and techniques.
  • Work closely with system architects to integrate with the software architecture model for the next generation of VACU applications.



  • Be a key team member, building and expanding cross functional skills.
  • Escalate impediments in a timely manner and work with team and contacts to find solutions.
  • Monitor applications and provide timely support for the resolution of issues.
  • Work with business & IT teams to ensure work is smoothly transitioned to a full release.
  • Other duties may be required and assigned by the supervisor.
  • Complete all required training.  Report all suspicious activity to Security.





  • Optimize the user experience by developing compelling and engaging responsive digital experiences through the use of front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JS) and coding practices.
  • Exposure to Low Code Software development platforms such as OutSystems.
  • Ability to design and develop using Object Oriented design principles and software design patterns to attain high reusability and maintainability.
  • Demonstrated experience designing/creating user interfaces and experience with Web/Mobile App Architecture.
  • Thorough understanding of the application life cycle in web/mobile development.
  • Demonstrated ability to transfer technical skills to new situations and learn quickly.
  • Create prototypes for testing to ensure design meets business and user objectives.
  • Perform web performance and accessibility audits and leads remediation efforts.

Minimum Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, User-Centered Design/Human-Computer Interaction, or appropriate combination of education and significant experience.
  • Requires demonstrated software development of enterprise software applications.
  • Experience in a financial institution or overall knowledge of financial institution products and services is a plus.
