OutSystems has established its Dutch operations
Utrecht, The Netherlands - 20 April 2005
OutSystems has established its operations in The Netherlands, with the opening of its office in Utrecht. The company objective is to increase its foothold in the Dutch market, where it already accounts for local references like E.ON Benelux.
OutSystems is a multinational software company that provides an innovative platform that changes the way companies create and maintain enterprise applications.
With the OutSystems Hub Edition platform applications are created quickly and can be easily modified during any phase of the project with very limited risk. This built-to-change approach ensures that they are constantly aligned with business needs and reflect user feedback maximizing adoption.
The flexibility provided by OHE supports IT departments in becoming highly agile organizations that consistently deliver new business solutions in record time.
Most companies still suffer from the difficulties created by the built-to-last IT systems, where improvements and new business requirements are difficult and take too much time to implement.
Recent studies show that in average, IT project have a success rate of only 34% and that maintenance of applications represents 80% of their total cost!
OutSystems Platform enables what until now has been one of the main obstacles for medium and large size IT Systems implemented in the last decades: to be able to create and change applications as fast as the business needs evolve.
According to Pieter van Harinxma, OutSystems Country Manager for The Netherlands, “Today’s challenge is to be able to adopt a “built-to-change” approach to software creation, instead of the existing “built-to-last” philosophy. Systems must be adapted and changed in real-time, in order to be fully aligned with the ever changing company needs. OutSystems provides the technology to make this possible.”
