Van Ameyde Group creates European Claims Handling System using OutSystems Platform
Maarssen, The Netherlands - 19 May 2006
OutSystems has announced that the Van Ameyde Group, a leading European company in the insurance claims handling industry, is using OutSystems Platform to create a new system that will support the company’s core activity in 14 different countries. Over 400 users will be handling claims with this system, in 12 languages and eight different currencies. These figures are expected to grow, as Van Ameyde considers the possibility of extending the system to business partners in Eastern Europe and to its customers.
The Van Ameyde Group provides solutions for insurance claims and risk-related services to over 300 insurance companies, brokers and fleet owners, all across Europe. The company needed a system capable of supporting the claims handling processes centrally, while complying with local legislation and specific procedures of each territory.
The new Claims Handling System will offer a web-based back-office and front-office, supporting all claims processes, from the moment they are received until they are concluded. The system will be integrated with SAP FI/CO to automate finance-related processes, ensuring information alignment and reducing the administrative workload.
The Van Ameyde Group chose OutSystems in view of the agility provided by its platform. The capability to quickly create and change enterprise application will allow for this European system to be customized locally, addressing each country’s specific requirements. The foreseen growth of the Van Ameyde Group and the need to adapt the company’s processes to ever-changing legislation in different territories make it essential to have a system that can be easily changed, involving only low investment and limited risk. The full change management support of OutSystems Platform meets Van Ameyde’s need for evolving systems that are constantly aligned with new business needs.
