OutSystems Launches Corporate Social Responsibility Program with OutReach

The first OutReach Workshop will share knowledge and best practices to help Portuguese businesses and entrepreneurs achieve success in the Web 2.0 world

At OutSystems we continuously work to innovate and experiment with new ideas. In the last two years we radically changed our sales, marketing and engineering processes to take full advantage of the Internet, looking at the best practices used in the USA and evolving through experimentation with different techniques, processes and organization structures. It’s this experience that we want to share with other companies, helping them to become more efficient in their marketing and internationalization processes. With the OutReach Program we now have a mechanism to help create a community that is more open, transparent and informed, which will benefit all involved and help us to become better at what we do!

OutSystems, provider of the industry leading Agile Platform application development environment, announced this morning the inaugural event in the company’s OutReach corporate social responsibility program. The event will take the form of an innovative workshop dedicated to “Marketing, Sales and R&D in the Web 2.0 World” in partnership with Nova University in Lisbon Portugal.

The OutReach program supports the education and knowledge transfer within and amongst businesses and entrepreneurs. For the past several years, OutSystems has actively shared its experiences and best practices with the community through interviews, group meetings and facility visits. With the new OutReach program, these initiatives now have a more structured and extended nature to reach a larger number of businesses and entrepreneurs.

The initial workshop’s theme of "Marketing, Sales and R & D in the Web 2.0 World" addresses one of the biggest challenges faced by Portuguese companies in the process of internationalization: how to take advantage of the Internet trends and methods to grow in the global market with lower costs, less risks and competing better.

About the Workshop

The OutReach workshop will take place at Universidade Nova de Lisboa - Faculdade de Economia, Salão Nobre, on November 12, under the theme of "Marketing & Sales and R & D in the Web 2.0 World."

Sales & Marketing professionals of any industry should plan to attend the morning sessions, while CEOs, CTOs, VP Product Management and R&D Managers of high-tech companies should plan to attend the full day.
