Creating and Managing Calendars

Step 1: Add a New Calendar

  1. Click on the "Add Calendar" button located on the top right side of the Calendar Management section.
  2. A new window will pop up where you can enter the details for the new calendar.

Step 2: Fill in Calendar Details

  1. Name: Enter a name for the calendar (e.g., "Standard Shift").
  2. Description: (Optional) Provide a brief description of the calendar.
  3. Working Hour Start: Set the start time for the working hours (e.g., 09:30 AM).
  4. Working Hour End: Set the end time for the working hours (e.g., 06:30 PM).
  5. Timezone: Select the appropriate timezone for the calendar (e.g., "UTC+05:30 Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi").
  6. Working Days: Select the days of the week that are considered working days. Simply check the boxes next to the days (e.g., Monday to Friday).

Step 3: Activate the Calendar

  1. If the calendar should be active, ensure the "Is Active" checkbox is checked.

Step 4: Save the Calendar

  1. Once all the details are filled in, click the "Save" button to create the calendar.
  2. The new calendar will now appear in the Calendar Management section.

Step 5: Edit an Existing Calendar

  1. To edit a calendar, click on the pencil icon next to the calendar's name.
  2. Modify the necessary fields in the pop-up window and click "Save" to update the calendar.

3. Adding and Managing Holidays

Step 1: Add a New Holiday

  1. Select the calendar to which you want to add a holiday.
  2. Click on the "Add Holiday" button on the right side of the Holidays section.
  3. A new window will pop up to enter the holiday details.

Step 2: Fill in Holiday Details

  1. Event Title: Enter the name of the holiday (e.g., "Independence Day").
  2. Date: Set the date for the holiday (e.g., 15 August 2024).
  3. Recurrent: Check this box if the holiday occurs annually on the same date.

Step 3: Activate the Holiday

  1. If the holiday should be active, ensure the "Is Active" checkbox is checked.

Step 4: Save the Holiday

  1. Click "Save" to add the holiday to the calendar.
  2. The holiday will now appear in the Holidays section under the selected calendar.

Step 5: Edit an Existing Holiday

  1. To edit a holiday, click on the pencil icon next to the holiday's name.
  2. Modify the necessary fields in the pop-up window and click "Save" to update the holiday.
