Read more

The Service Center Factory Configuration application allows you to change the configuration of the components of your Service Center Factory. You can customize Service Center known Configurations for an eSpace or create Shared Configurations that will apply to several eSpaces, such as specifying a default proxy for web service calls. This and other common samples of Shared Configurations have been already created for you and are available as pre-made samples.

Feature List

  • Customize the Default Proxy for Web References
  • Add a Custom Handler
  • Configure Integrated Authentication for Java
  • Customize HttpRuntime parameters
  • Screen to configure Platform "hidden" configurations

Warning: This component is not supported in Personal or Trial environments. Personal and Trial are offered on shared infrastructure where advanced configurations may affect other users and are therefore not supported.

Release notes (11.3.1)

What’s Changed

  • Added settings to allow Reactive and Traditional Web Apps to debug from any IPs, allowing you to debug in Proxy Scenarios and Farm Environments. Available in Platform 11.41.1 and above;

  • Added three Runtime settings to configure the DDL lock-timeout retry chain used during application deployments: DDL SQL Server Lock Timeout — First Attempt (ms) (default 2000 ms), DDL SQL Server Lock Timeout — Second Attempt (ms) (default 5000 ms), and DDL SQL Server Lock Timeout — Last Attempt (ms) (default 20000 ms). When a deployment cannot acquire a database lock on ALTER TABLE statements (SQL Server error 1222 - "Lock request time out period exceeded"), Platform Server retries up to three times using the configured timeouts in sequence. The deployment fails only if all three attempts time out. Applies to SQL Server family environments. Available from Platform Server 11.43.0 onwards.

  • Added a setting to suppress "The operation was cancelled" log errors caused by cancelled REST (Expose) requests (RPM-778);

  • Added a setting to configure date/time format for parsing SAP response timestamps (defaults to the SAP standard yyyyMMdd HHmmss, with EU/UK/US formats also supported). Available in Platform 11.42.0 and above.

  • Added a setting to Factory Configuration to enable the WCAG 2.2 Compliance

  • Added tooltips to the Encrypt Viewstate and Session Fixation Protection settings, explaining the recommended security configuration for each. Additionally, the Platform Configurations screen now validates the logged-in user's authorization (requires Full Control) before granting access. (RPM-7006)
