IMO, jquery-ui is not a mature, functional library. I have been working with it for over 5 years,and it is prone to wild flickering when it passes over a group of potential targets. While it appears to be easier to use compared to HTML-5 D&D, you can find yourself cornered with bugs that have no solutions.
