Out of the box, web blocks do not have runtime properties other than their id. They miss the attributes Valid and ValidationMessage, to expose or set their validation state. In addition, they do not expose their data state unless they, themselves, decide to. Use the tools in this component to overcome these limitations and create built-in alike widgets.
