What's new

This version fixes the Oracle defect in the previous version.  The upload will no longer error when the backend database is Oracle.

Best effort attempt is now made to maintain the order of uploaded files.  Set MaxParallelUploads to 1 for the most reliable ordering of files.

What's new

UPDATE: DO NOT USE THIS VERSION IF YOU ARE ON AN ORACLE DATABASE. USE VERSION 1.1.1 INSTEAD.

Note: There are potential breaking changes:

  • FileSize has been changed from Integer to Long Integer.
  • The default timeout is set to 30 seconds. Files larger than 200MB may timeout depending on upload speeds. See new Site Property UploadFileTimeoutSeconds for how to adjust timeouts.

Descriptions of missing element such as client actions, server actions, inputs, variables are now added thanks to the awesome OutSystems review team (thanks Luciano!), as well as polishing up the demo application and finding some bugs.

New features

  • Large files are now properly supported via chunked uploads.  The file size in every parameter and structure is now a Long Integer.
  • Upload progress is now displayed as a percentage.
  • An UploadProgress callback reports the progress as a percentage and an estimate of time remaining.
  • Implemented max records on the SQL to avoid unnecessary I/O and memory consumption.

Bug fixes

  • Retrieving the uploaded file no longer fails when an upload control had been loaded on a previous SPA page and the Destroy action failed to trigger.
  • Files larger than 1GB no longer fail to upload.
  • Setting max file size to greater than 5000MB no longer causes a file size validation error.

Removed

The following actions have been removed as they are no longer required.

  • Server actions: FilePondUpload_ToJSON, FilePondUpload_GetMaxFileSizeText, FilePondUpload_CreateCommonAcceptedFileTypes, FilePondUpload_CreateUploadedFile.
  • Client actions: FilePondIdOptions_ToJSON.
