Android Information

Android P blocks the usage of HTTP requests by default, in case of need to open a URL with HTTP a preference can be specified in the application extensibility configuration:

  • MABS 11

Known limitations

Version 2.4.10 of the plugin has a limitation when using MABS 11 where the "Open" client action with "SYSTEM" as the target doesn't work properly on iOS 18. This issue has been fixed in recent versions of the Plugin.

Release notes (4.1.0)

Features

  • Android
    • The OpenInWebView client action has a new SuccessUrlPatterns parameter inside AndroidWebViewOptions. You can use this to pass Regex patterns that are checked checked against each finished page load; matching one closes the Android WebView natively. Useful for redirect-based flows with a known "done" URL where you want the WebView to close reliably as soon as that URL loads.

Fixes

  • Android
    • Make the app to survive process freeze in OpenInWebView client action when the WebView is open.
    • Fixes an issue where the the OnBrowserClosed event would trigger when a user would minimize the custom tab from the OpenInSystemBrowser client action. This fix could only be applied for Android versions 14 and higher. Older Android versions still have this issue due to system limitations.
