Open Graph meta properties

Open Graph meta properties

Hi All,

I need to add customized meta tags to the header of some of my webpages. The meta tag extension wont work because i need something like you see below. Is there a way to add very customized tags to the header??

<meta property="og:title" content="Facebook Open Graph META Tags"/>
<meta property="og:image" content="http://davidwalsh.name/wp-content/themes/klass/img/facebooklogo.png"/>
<meta property="og:site_name" content="David Walsh Blog"/>
Hi Julius

In HTTPRequestHandler module you have methods to manipulate the generated head of your html pages.
Using the method AddMetaTag you can add custom tags with the information you want, like the example you are showing.

Hi again,

What I wrote previously is not entirely true. Actually, that method adds a meta tag with name and content only.
In the past, I've used the AddPostProcessingFilter to find the <title> tag and replace it by
   <meta property='og:title' content='My page title' />
   <title>

However, I think this method is only available for .NET stack.

José Ramalho

I used the AddPostProcessingFilter, thanks. Facebook also told me that the server is throwing an error message:

HTTP Error 411 The request must be chunked or have a content length. Any ideas on this?
Are you using facebook open graph debugger to do the tests?

What is the address tested? Can you provide it?

Please give us more details about what you are testing and how are you testing.

Cheers,
Jose
I am using the open graph debugger, tested:
http://www.oasischicago.com/chicago/listing/8525264/4651-NORTH-SPAULDING/
One other piece of info is that the debugger can read oasischicago.com/users. It just seems to have problems with my app at oasischicago.com/chicago.
Indeed, I tried to open the html that is read by the debugger and it contains only:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"></html>

Are you somehow changing or injecting invalid html? Like changing the <head> or injecting something strange on your body?

I've noticed that you have some broken images on your html, they are raising errors in the console..

Cheers,
Jose
Jose,

It turns out that the meta tags extension was the cause. Im all set now.  Thanks for the advice.
