To specify... or not to specify... That is the question!

I was wondering if it is good practice or bad practice to specify the full .aspx file name in the URL or not? For example, if HomePage.aspx is the default page for my site, should I reference it with...

       http://mysite.com/Myespace/HomePage.aspx or just http://mysite.com/Myespace/...

Seems to me that the latter would be better because it give you the flexability to rename the home page or select a new one without having to worry about updating the link.

Any reason why this would not be a good practice?

Thanks!!

The latter is the best, IMHO.

Thanks man! Just what I thought. It's logical and makes sense. Just wanted to hear someone else say it (besides the little voice in my head! ??)
