Outlook email

How do you link text to generate a email

in the past i have created a attribute field into an expression and typed the following code and it generates an email
Format:HTML Format Version:1.0 StartHTML: 165 EndHTML: 2248 StartFragment: 314 EndFragment: 2216 StartSelection: 314 EndSelection: 314
"<a href='mailto:" + EventCalendarShow.Record.Employee.Email + "&subject=" + EventCalendarShow.Record.EventCalendar.Name + " Event " +"'>" + EventCalendarShow.Record.Employee.Email + "</a>"

i want a stand alone peice of text to generate an email in outlook

i also want to do the exact same thing but with out using text click a button to generate and email

for example the text may be

myemail@hotmail.co.uk - i want to be able to click on this peice of text and it to link to an outlook email and for the drapft pop up on the screen ready to edit the body and send

Hi Sat,

The mailto: href target accepts also a body argument: you can use to prefill the draft of the email body.

You create a link, set the destination to Common\ExternalURL and URL to something like: "mailto:"+EmailAddress+"?Subject=This is the Subject"
