How password of any ServiceCenter's user stored in database?

Hi,
If we create any usert in ServiceCenter we need to provide password for that and if i am not wrong then it is being stored in database since any LDAP integration is not there for ServiceCenter's user authentication.

My question is "Does passwords apply any strong one-way hashes (e.g. SHA 256 bits) to the passwords and store those hashes in database?"

Regards,
Mushfik
Currently passwords are stored using (fixed) salt + md5. Basically it uses the OutSystems Platform Encrypt() built-in function.
Thanks Ricardo.
Hi,

This is an area we are working on. Stay tuned for next OutSystems releases...

Will there be a new built in function? old encrypt to be replaced? will the new feature be released in 9.1 or 10?

This will not be released in Amsterdam yet.
I rather not go into implementation details just yet, as these may change.

Hi João,
By Amsterdam, you mean the upcoming CIO event?
I've already subscribed to an Idea on a public roadmap... Is another version coming out soon? 9.1?
Hi Tiago,

I meant "this will NOT be released in the next minor release yet".

Joao
Tiago, "Amsterdam" is the code name for the current beta (9.0.1.*).
Thanks Kilian.
I thought it might be that or maybe... the CIO event taking place today in Amsterdam, or even a special treat to the Dutch partners ;)
