Use of Temporary Tables in Advanced SQL queries

Use of Temporary Tables in Advanced SQL queries

Is there any way to use temporary (or hash) tables within an advanced SQL query to optimise performance and hold values at different stages of the query?  Or even to be able to temporarily hold data to pass from one advanced sql query to another?  The table would then be terminated at the end of the process/session.

Hi Dan,

I'm not 100% sure, but by using and SQL widget (old AdvancedQuery) you should be able to do it as long as the runtime user of the OutSystems platform on your DB has permissions to do so.

On a SQL widget I've seen all kinds of execution from Stored procedures to bulk inserts so this might be no different.

Let us know if you were able to do it and preferable, if possible, with an example.

Thanks Guilherme,  I will keep you posted on how we get on.
