Deploy applications to local environments - How to guides

I'm a newbie, completed the contacts tutorials, very much impressed.  I wanted to find out if applications developed using Outsystems platform can be depoyed within the local IT environment, are there any tutorials available for this ?

Also how to configure the tutorial to use Java instead of .NET ?

Regards
Laks.

Hi Laks,

The OutSystems Personal Edition is available only in the cloud.
To deploy the OutSystems Platform on premises you would need a enterprise subscription.
You can request a 30-day Enterprise Subscription trial: http://www.outsystems.com/home/Trial_Home.aspx.

The tutorial runs on the developer environment, which is a Windows application.
With your Enterprise Subscription, you can choose to run your OutSystems Platform Server on Java, and the developer environment will publish your applications to your Java OutSystems Platform Server.

Is it still not available for PE to setup on the local system?

I have tried with Service studio 8 and executed my project from localhost/project...

Hi Amol,

You just resurfaced a post from 2015, to ask a completely different question. In the future please create a new post if you have a different question, it will make life easier for everyone, namely people with the same questions as you.

As far as I am aware, the OutSystems Agile Platform 8 was the last to have a Community Edition you could install locally. Since 9.0, the Personal Environments on the cloud replaced the Community Edition as the way for developers to experiment and try their hand at OutSystems.

Hi Amol,

Your question "is it still not available" seems to imply that there is a possibility for a future local system setup of a PE. There isn't.

Our strategy to offer Personal Editions only on Cloud has been very successful and we have no intention to review it.

Best,
