combo box

Hi,
I have built a combo box, and use the SQL list(SQL return values) as the data source.
But I aslo need to add one more parameter, and I can get it from the return value of a URL(give some inputs and get outputs from the URL).
Is there any way that I can merge them and show them in one combo box? Thanks a lot.
Hi Eric,

Though I'm not sure what you mean exactly, you can just either ListAppend something to the SQL output, or first copy the list to a local variable (using ListDuplicate) and then appending (depending on whether you'll need the output later on or not).

 Hi Kilian,

I have used SQL and got data like below:

At the same time, I got  another data records from other data source like below:
And these two tables, they had the same stream name, which can combain them together.
And I want to merge them together. And list the merged data in the combo box.
How can I do that? Thanks a lot.
It seems that the appendlist won`t help.It just back the data behind.
Hi Eric,

You can sort the list after appending, using the SortRecordList extension. If there are duplicates in the data set, you'll have to remove them programmatically, there's no easy trick for that.
You can get all the data from 1 sigle query so you dont need to merge anything.

Just use an advanced query and use the UNION (or UNION ALL) statement

 Hi Kilian,

The first data is got from Mysql. The second data is get from run.PHP return value.
So the second data is just the print data from the PHP file.
Both of them have the stream id. So I want to merge them together using the stream id.
It`s like union in SQL. I think append won`t union them, it just put the data at the tail.
Even after the sort, it`s still not merge together.
Please have a look, thanks a lot.

Ok, so you have 2 different data sources, is that it?. After you get the data, do you have it in 2 different lists with the same structure? If so, you can use the ListAppendAll action: http://screencast.com/t/HgqVrvxcO

 Hi Cipriano,

Yes, I have 2 different data sources. But they also have the different structure.
One is get from SQL. Another is get from a URL return value.

Eric,

Can you explain exactly why you can't, like I said above, append and sort the lists?
