sort the table record

sort the table record

Hi,

I have created a table record, and I want to add the sort function to it.
If the user click the title of the column, then the table can sort itself according to the column.
I know some Jquery package can do that, but how can I do that in OutSystems`s table record? Thank you.
erm, what do you mean?

If you scaffold/intelliwarp an entity, the list-screen will have by default sorting...

Hi Eric,

I'd advise you to do what J says. Even if you're not going to use that screen, you can check how to do the sorting with RichWidgets.

Sorry, I didn`t say it clearly. For example, when we see a table on the webpage, and it has four columns A, B, C ,D.
If you put your mouse on the title of column A and double click on it, then the table will be sorted by A.
I think maybe I can do it in RichWidgets as Kilian said, but I don`t know how to use it.
I just created a table by using table record. It seems it doesn`t has the interface to sort the table.

Hi eric,

Scaffolding is the process by which Service Studio creates a page for you. OutSystems calls this (or called this) IntelliWarp. I've created a short video that shows how to do it, and also shows where you can find the sorting logic.

 Hi Kilian,

Thank you so much for the reply. And I have added the List_SortColumn to my tableRecords.
But it seems that I still need to add the sort action to the OnNotify. I saw you have one in the short video.
How to create that action?

If you do exactly what I did in the video, it will be created for you. And then you can analyze what Service Studio did and copy that for your application.
