Hi all,

I'm using the location plugin from the forge and some testing showed me that the readings are better when I'm offline rather than online. In the documentation about this plugin on Github I read the following:

"Common sources of location information include Global Positioning System (GPS) and location inferred from network signals such as IP address, RFID, WiFi and Bluetooth MAC addresses, and GSM/CDMA cell IDs."

So this plugin also uses other sources like wifi to determine locations.

How can I implement that I only want to use GPS to determine my position even when I'm online?

Kind regards,

Artuur

Solution

Hey, Artuur,

Have you tried setting the "EnableHighAccuracy" parameter to True?

According to the same documentation, doing so will make the plugin prioritize satellite information, if available.

Please let us know if you were able to obtain a better fix with this.

Best regards,

I try to use getLocation. Unfortunately it returns 0 for both altitude and longitude. Why? Tq
