Because the SilkUI Calender widget has only simple functionalities we decide to create a new one with extra functionalities.
We did that using vanilla JS (ES6) and we tryied to use as many platform functionalities as possible.
Our POC is completed and works as needed, but we think that the best approach should be using custom ReactJS components (following some guidelines specific to OutSystems).

Any one knows if any guidelines exists or if some sample is available?

[we decide to do a new Calendar instead of customizing the SilkUI one, mainly because we want to learn how to implement widgets in mobile from scratch]

Hi Delio,

Not sure if you can include ReactJS in a mobile app, never tried and there is nothing in the P10 documentation about React. You can try to build a small ReactJS component inside a javascript widget (https://success.outsystems.com/Documentation/10/Extensibility_and_Integration) and see if it compiles when publishing to the server. If it does, you know how it works, if it doesn't, this question can only be answered by R&D.

Can you share your calendar on the forge?

Kind regards,

Remco Dekkinga

Hi Remco,

I saw in the last NextStep this:

It seems logic to me that React should be the best way to add custom components :)

About the 'our' calendar is still only a very ugly POC :(, but if you want to have a peek go to [https://jsfiddle.net/jildeo/jjz94y8j/] we based our outsystems implementation on this JS.
