notification on DB entry created

notification on DB entry created

I'm developing a mobile app and I need to send a notification to the clients whenever a database table changes. For example, if a new user is created, the clients need to update their UI to show the new user.

I have a server running and a notification system working, my problem is that I don't know when to send the notification.

The way I tried to do it is exemplified in the screenshot below but it doesn't work. Since the server action is async, the notification is sent before the user is already created in the database.

How should I go about something like this?

You can use BPT (Business Process Technology).

In Processes tab from Service Studio, make a new process.

In the property, click Launch On property and select CreateUser Entity Action

Drag Automatic Activity in between Start and End, and give it name.

Double click on that activity, then you can define logic flow for your notification there...

Hope it helps...

Thank you Harlin. It is almost what I need, but my notifications are sent by a javascript script, so from what I understand they have to be a client action, whereas the processes are a server action
