Hi, can someone tell me how I import images into the gallery?

It seams that you have to upload them to the file systems and update the inputs of the gallery object.

You can upload the images you want and store them in the database. The file system would not be a viable solution because it would fail whenever you have more than 1 frontend.

You can then create a webscreen that ends with a download widget and by doing that you are now back to the scenario where you have a url to use in the gallery.

Using the file upload widget, how can an image in a file be grabbed into a binary data block to be stored in the DB?

Hi Steve,

The file upload has a property that you can access in an screen action. It's the content. It's already a binary. Just save to database to a binary field.

Hi Backer,

You need to use file upload then you can access in action where you get binary data and filename from the file upload. Just save the image in some folder then save title, description and image path in the database.

Now, on the screen where you want image gallery to display just get all records from the database and bind the record list with the image gallery component. It will work and display your image gallery.
