Currently our organisation is focusing on a proof of concept with the data virtualisation platform by Denodo (

Part of the proof is that an OutSystems application can retrieve data from the virtualisation layer. From our perspective the virtualisation layer should act as an external database that can be integrated by using Integration Studio.

However denodo is not natively supported and a "denodo connector" is not available in the forge. Developing our own connector, as it is done in, is not an option for us.

Is there anyone that has experience with connecting to denodo platform?

Thanks in advance!

P.S. Integrating the platform by exposing a REST API on the denodo platform is not the solution we are looking for.

Hi Roel,

I've never heard of Denodo before, but from there knowledge base, Denodo should be accessible using a JDBC and an ODBC driver, which means that you should be able to create a Denodo connector.

Another option is to access the Denodo installation by publishing SOAP and REST web services, which are also available in Denodo and very easy to integrate in Outsystems. This will result in working with REST services and structures instead of entities in OutSystems.

Since I don't have an installation of Denodo, I can't help you any further with creating the connector.

Kind regards,
