Help Please

Hi,

I'm a newb to OutSystems and I am doing List and Details Screens exercise of the To Do app and I am stuck on Part 3,

Part 3: Create Navigation Links

In this part of the exercise, you will edit the ToDos Screen so that the details of each To Do are accessible from there.

1. Add a link from each To Do in the ToDos Screen to the detail Screen.a) Open the ToDos Screen and select the ListItem1 Widget that contains theTitle Expression.b) In the properties area, set the On Click Event to ‘MainFlow\ToDoDetail’.

I cant find this listitem1 widget so i cant set its properties. There has been no previous mention of it and I dont know where to add it.

Can anyone help??

Thanks,

Sean

Hi Sean,

Welcome to OutSystems :)

If you select the list on the screen, in the bottom right of Service Studio. you will have the widgets tree. You just have to select the List Item and you'll have access to its properties.

Does it help you?

Hi Antonio:

I am having precisely the same problem:  the exercise instructions say:

When I open the ToDos screen, I see nothing that looks like a ListItem1 widget that I can select:

In your instructions above, you say "Select the list on the screen, in the bottom right of Service Studio. you will have the widgets tree."  Apart from the fact that I think you may mean bottom left of Service Studio, I am afraid that I do not understand 'Select the list on the screen'.  What list is that, please?  Please could you highlight in the diagram above?

Thank you

Graham

hi Seane,

may this picture helps:

Thank you very much for that very quick response!  I see the difference, which is that there is indeed a ListItem1 on your page - which is completely missing from mine.  I think that the point made by Seane, (who opened this thread) was that he could find nothing in any of the previous exercises that suggested putting the ListItem here - and nor can I!  So, have we just missed something, do you know, please?

I presume that - with the help from your snapshot - one can remedy the issue by adding a ListItem widget to that screen.......?

Thank you again, A.

hi Graham,

here is the missing:

OK, was re-reading through that (having been directed to it by your earlier email) when your latest email arrived.  Thank you, I feel sure that this will resolve the issue!

Much appreciated!
