IP address of production environment changed without notice

Our Public IP address to our production environment changed overnight.  The A-records on our client DNS were therefore pointing to the incorrect IP address and therefore they couldn't access the application.  Has this happened to anyone else previously?

I think this is something you need to take up with OS support or your OS account manager. I'd tentatively say this shouldn't happen, but I'm no expert on the matter.
