How can I get contentId from an e-mail attachment?

How can I get contentId from an e-mail attachment?

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to get the contentId from an attachment I add to an e-mail.

Because outlook is being super useful in accepting images, I have no choice left but to use the cid method.

Does anybody know how to achieve this? Or perhaps another way to properly get images to work in e-mails to outlook?

Thanks.

Hi Claring,

Are you using the Outsystems platform Send Email tool?

What are you trying to achieve? Email are sent the platform in server side, there is no way to know the cid in advance.

Yeah I am being the send email function.

I was just thinking that the attach email function. Which you can use in the preparation of an email screen. Could return a cid for use in the email body.

Since this is possible in programming languages themselves, like PHP. I thought outsystems might have a wat to do this too.

I havent seen any extensions for this. (Correct me if im wrong) but I guess I will have to make something myself.

Hi Claring thank you for your feedback,

I also saw your idea:

I just don't understand your use case, what you would do with the cid?

Using a cid I can do something like

Background: url(cid:12345);

Or on an image.

Since im trying to get images to work in Outlook.

I have tried every other wat to show images and so far only the cid method seems to work.
