How can I play an url RTSP or SDP

How can I play an url RTSP or SDP

I am trying to develop a mobile screen that gets from a server an url RTSP or a SDP and plays the response, but I can't get it to work.
I am trying to link the mobile screen to an Exterbal Site where the url parameter is de RTSP response.

Any one can help me with this?

Best regards,

Miguel Oliveira
Hi Miguel,

it should be straightforward to link to a RTSP or a SDP address using the external site URL parameter.
If it doesn't work, please verify the following:
- you are using the correct URL;
- the browser/mobile phone supports the RTSP/SDP protocol;
- the RTSP server received the request and logged a correct response.

If you detail any error you receive I might help a little more.
Hi Lúcio,

Thanks for your reply.

The error that I'm having when the link goes to external site URL is:

Error executing child request for node3366.aspx.

Hi Miguel,

From your error stack I suspect you found a server bug. You should contact OutSystems support to solve your issue. Just send an email to with a copy of the eSpace (or a smaller one that reproduces the same behavior) and a brief problem description (you can point to this thread). I will follow your issue internally.
Hi Lucio,

Thanks for your reply... I already can see the video when the request is a RTSP url, when is a SDP the terminal opens the media player but it doesn't play the video an "conection error" occurs.

I have another problem.. the request of the RTSP url only works when is made from a click of a link in the screen if is made from a Destination in a Preparation it doesm't work, do you know why?

Hi again,

The problem you have with the SDP protocol should be a gateway or connection configuration problem. Do you have any security or billing constrains in your network? It could also be a malformed or invalid URL :)

The second problem is the related to the bug I suspected you found in OutSystems platform, and the reason why I redirected you to OutSystems support in the previous post.

the server response that I'm geting of the SDP protocol for a user-agent NokiaN70 is:
o=- 3391414580 1799445269 IN IP4 s=- e=support@localhost
c=IN IP4
t=0 0 a=creation_date:20070614T162411.000Z a=range:npt=0-216 a=X-wmfversion:1.2 a=control:rtsp:// a=etag:305FE969B568E3A8FD344E36AE525370

I don´t know what I should do with this response? I can't make a request like a RTSP url!

Hi again,

I already know what to do with the SDP. I make a response.write of the SDP content and change de aplication-type for aplication/sdp. This way ther terminal user-agent already opens the media player but the media player gives "erro de ligação", I think this appends because of a bad configuration in the SDP response.
